STANDARD COURSES
(WITH MENTOR)

 

The standard Bardic - Ovate - Druid courses with guidance of a mentor. You need to be at least 18 years old to take these courses.

A mentor will follow up your coursework and grade your assignments with feedback where necessary. These courses are available only to upgraded members. If you're not an upgraded member yet, then consider upgrading your account.


BARDIC COURSE

The first of three courses which will take you through the druidic grade of Bard. Covers a wide range of topics from an exploration of the Druid identity, the cosmology of Ireland and the Celts, and the Cauldrons of the Soul. The Bardic Course takes minimum 8 months to complete, but on average students take 1 year to complete it, and we recommend you spend at least 1 year to complete this course yourself.

If you are an upgraded member of the New Order of Druids, you can enrol in this course with a mentor to help guide you through your studies in this course.

OVATE COURSE

This is the second course in a series of three. You must have completed the Bardic course in order to enrol in this one. This course covers a range of topics such as: nature mysticism; the Celtic warrior tradition of truth, fearlessness, and sovereignty; initiation and the "soul-gift"; Jungian archetype work, shamanism, as well as an experiential process-intensive piece based around an Irish story called the Voyage of Maelduin. Find out more about this course by having a look at the OVATE COURSE PREVIEW(PDF file opening in a new window).

The Ovate Course is the longest of the three courses and, dependent on the individual pace of study, an average completion time of one and a half years can be anticipated.

DRUID COURSE

This is the third course in a series of three, for graduates of the Bardic and Ovate courses. This course will guide you into everyday practices of setting up a home shrine, create a ritual, and perform offerings to deities.

The Druid Course takes minimum of 8 months to complete, but on average students take 1 year to complete it (depending on time taken for the Final Project), and we recommend you spend at least 1 year to complete this course yourself.
